"Mini-Sites" How-To

This is a how-to on mini-sites.  The video is a rough cut, but we couldn't wait to show you this feature.  Our voice over talent is complaining about money.  I think Charleton Heston is a bad choice though.  Until then, you'll have to deal with me.  :)

The trick here is setting up your zip archive correctly.  Here are the requirements:

  • The zip file *must* contain a file named index.html or index.htm in the root.
  • For CSS, images, and javascript to work, the links must be relative and not absolute.
  • For links to work, they must also be relative.
  • You can include a screenshot to be used as a thumbnail.  In the root, make sure there is a file named screenshot.png.
  • If you want to specify a height and width in pixels of the preview window, append it to the filename in the format of FILENAME-[Width]x[Height].zip  (Note: the dash is required.)
